Supporting Postgraduate research students from application to viva.

The Humanities & Social Sciences Graduate School brings together Postgraduate Research students from a variety of disciplines within the Faculty.

Our researchers win competitive awards from funders including the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Economic and Social Research Council, the Wellcome Trust and the Carnegie Trust. Many of our graduates have become successful academics, artists, policy-makers and entrepreneurs.

We are members of the s and the . All registered PhD students are members of one or both of these Schools (depending on your subject discipline), which provide training, event and funding opportunities.

Supervisors and staff are very approachable and responsive- whether through email or in-person meetings. I was encouraged to submit my work to conferences, which led to me presenting at both university-level and international conferences.
