Coming to 一本道

If you're a student currently registered on an undergraduate degree elsewhere in the world then you're able to spend a year (or a semester) of your studies as a visiting student at the University of 一本道.

You can apply through organised student exchange programmes, which 一本道 runs in collaboration with more than 250 universities and colleges around the world. Another option is applying directly to 一本道 on an independent basis, or through a study abroad provider.

Go Global Photo Competition Winners 2025

  • Hamood Al-Harthi - Colegio Iberico Salamanca Spanish Summer School. "Musical show on the river. Salamanca people are known for their love of music. Thus they started to be creative on how they play it, as the photo shown (playing piano on the river)."

  • David Hunter - Semester Exchange at BI Norwegian Business School. "Midnight Sun. Just before summer I road-tripped through Norway's Lofoten Islands above the arctic circle. At this time of year the sun never sets, and our hikes were bound by weather not daylight. It was such a unique experience."

  • Isla Kennedy - Full Year Exchange at Universidad Europea de Madrid. "San Isidro en Madrid. This is the most important festival of Madrid, taking place on the 24th of May. Pictured here are a group of friends in festival dress on their way to street parties."

  • Luke Charles - Full Year Exchange at the University of Oslo. "Norwegian picnic - lunch at the top of Ryten mountain before descending to Kvalvika beach."
